Sri Lankan style Banana Pepper Curry in 3 ways

Bookish Refreshment is back with another Sri Lankan curry today. Banana Pepper which is famous for it’s spice and taste is cooked in different ways in the country. We would update you the recipe of three such Sri Lankan styled Banana Pepper curry which would make your lunch perfect.

To the heated oil, add 1onion, 250g banana pepper, 2 medium sized crushed tomatoes and mix. Add salt, turmeric powder, 1 1/2tsp of chilli powder, 1/2tbsp of dry fish powder, curry leaves, pandan leaves and leave them to boil. After boiled serve them with hot rice.

Sri Lankan style 1st Banana Pepper curry is ready!

To the heated oil, add 1 onion, 2 boiled potatoes (cut into pieces) 200g pieces of meat (boiled with salt and pepper) and allow them to fry a little. Add salt, turmeric powder, 1tsp of chilli powder, 1 tomato, 250g of banana pepper, curry leaves, 1 1/2tsp of chilli flakes and mix them well. When boiled serve and enjoy!

Sri Lankan style 2nd Banana Pepper curry is ready!

To the heated oil add 250g of banana pepper cut as shown in the picture below.

Turn over the banana peppers and fry them. After fried, take the peppers away and let the oil drain from the banana peppers.

Now in a separate Pan pour coconut milk and add 1/2 onion. Add 2 green chilli (cut into pieces), 1/2 crushed tomato, salt, turmeric powder, Lemon juice (1/2) curry leaves and mix it repeatedly. When the mixture comes to a boil, turn off the stove and pour it over the fried banana peppers.

Sri Lankan style 3rd Banana Pepper curry is ready!
