Vegetable Chop Suey Recipe

Vegetable Chop Suey is a dish filled with healthy vegetables which are mixed with a thickened corn flour sauce. The dish is said to be an American Chinese dish which is suitable to be paired with many other great dishes. Vegetable Chop Suey could be consumed at lunch or dinner and would be tastier and healthier for the kids who does not wish to have vegetables in their plate. What are the other veggies that can be used in Chop Suey?

If you want some more veggies other than the ones we have included in the recipe, we would like to recommend you broccoli, iceberg lettuce, onions and mushrooms. The above veggies would be a perfect blend for the dish Chopsuey as it would taste well and be healthy as well.

With what can Chop Suey be paired?

Vegetable Chopsuey would be a perfect combination with several dishes. Noodles and Fried rice are two of the main dishes which would be perfect to be paired with. Chopsuey would be great by itself too. The dish would be great for a light dinner without any help of any roti or rice with it.


Butter- 2tbsp

Sesame oil- 2tbsp

Ginger garlic paste- 1tbsp

Pepper- 1 1/2tbsp

Corn flour- 1 1/2tbsp


Spring onion- 1/2cup

Stems of leeks-3

Beans- 250g

Carrots- 250g


Cauliflower- 250g

Potatoes- 250g

Water- 1 1/2 cup



Melt the butter. Add spring onions, potatoes, carrots to it.


Pour 1/2 cup of water. Add beans, stem of leeks, cauliflower, salt, pepper, cabbage and mix well.


Mix 1 and 1/2 tablespoons of cornflour with 1 cup of water and add it to the boiling vegetables. Drizzle sesame oil and mix well. Vegetable Chopsuey is ready!
